I pray you and your family had a blessed Resurrection Sunday celebration. The separating factor of Christianity from all other religions is that Christ, our Savior, is not dead but is alive. Jesus said, “I AM, (not I was or will be) He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forever more.” Revelations 1:18

Remembering why you started something is the key to its longevity. Too many times we begin a thing whether it’s a business, ministry, or relationship for a specific purpose only to be swayed by influences that are not based upon the Father’s perspective. This leads us down a path of unhealthy pursuit producing frustration and dissatisfaction.

We began our relationship with Christ based on receiving grace by faith in order to walk free of the penalty of sin and live in the reality of the Father’s love. It was not by our works or by what we could accomplish, but simply accepting the free gift of life through the finished works of Jesus Christ. Jesus came not to do away with the law, but to fulfill it, which enables us to stand in the Father’s presence made completely righteous and holy! This is how we started our life with the Father, and how we will continue the journey successfully.

Remember the principal of prayer is pursuit; it is to gaze upon the face of the Father and receive from Him the full supply that is found in His word. We are complete in Him; nothing missing or lacking. Psalms 27:8 reads, “When you said, ‘Seek My face’, my heart said to you, ‘Your face, Lord, I will seek’” It is in the countenance of the Father, in His intimate presence, that secrets and divine counsel are given. This is the hour we are in. I believe Psalms 24:3 speaks of our generation, for our response is the key to doing the Father’s will in these last days. It reads, “This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face.”

With this thought, I want to take another step with prayer and offer encouragement. Prayer is beholding the Father’s glory so that He can place His words in our hearts giving us confidence and boldness in the assignment ahead. (Exodus 4:12,15)

While Jesus is with His three disciples on the Mount of Transfiguration Peter is overtaken by what he sees and begins to give an idea to mark the moment. In Matthew 17:5 we read, “While he (Peter) was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, ‘This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, Hear Him!’” Why was God so explicit for the disciples, more specifically, Peter, to hear Jesus? The answer can be found in John 17:8, “For I have given to them the words which You have given Me:” John 17:20 continues this thought, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;” What caught my attention is that God’s Word became their word which changed the course of our lives thousands of years later.

Hebrews 3:6 reads, “But Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are….” You are God’s house and a house divided cannot stand. (Matthew 12:22-28) Receiving God’s word brings unity and oneness and where there is unity there will be productivity.

Mark 4:20 says, “But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, and accept it (receive it) and bear fruit….” Hear this: If there is a lack of fruit, productivity or desired results, check the word you have received. Jesus said in John 6:63, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and life.” It is God’s word that is needed to produce fruit, to obtain the desired outcome!

I end this letter with John 3:34. “For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.” You and I are both sent by God into the world, each with a specific assignment that will glorify God and build the kingdom. The more you practice speaking only God’s word the more you will walk in the unrestricted, unhindered realm of the Spirit.

Remember: Prayer is always a prerequisite of growth and increase. Prayer is the starting point that will enable you to finish strong and fulfill the call and destiny on your life!
