Are you fearful? Are there moments where media and current events initiate an onslaught of uncertainty and the possibility of unfulfilled expectations and future plans? Truth be known, we all come to the “Y” in the road where we either place a guard to resist this type of mental attack or fall prey to its paralyzing deception. My desire is to establish the former of the two.
As we move into the last few months of 2021, I want to continue encouraging you in your position in Christ and call you into the fullness that lies in Him. As we mentioned last month trust is the key and the main ingredient to walking out the destiny and given purpose that is given to everyone who has made Jesus Christ Lord and Savior. Jeremiah 17:7 reads, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.” This statement was made by the Lord and is very much applicable to this season. It reveals God’s desire to see His children flourish in any kind of situation or circumstance. These types of scriptural statements are windows into the Father’s will which is of most importance when it comes to walking out His purpose and plan for our lives.
Trust is created by the “I Will” of God! It is the exchange of His word for your absolute dependency. In this exchange there is no shame or hanging of your head, for He lifts your head. Psalms 3:2-3 says, “Many are they who say of me, ‘There is no help for him in God.’ But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.” God is unwilling to see your countenance drop due to unfulfilled expectations. Psalms 18:30 also says, “As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.” Again, we see the exchange for God’s word that is tried and refined producing the highest quality of trust which can yield abundant protection against all terror of darkness.
Self-reliance is the enemy of trust. Trust begins to wane when we allow our works and efforts to become pillars that support the weight of life and its responsibilities. The “I Will” of God is formulated and produced from the endless reservoirs of His abundant grace. Because of Christ’s humility and obedience there is that which solidifies and fortifies God’s ability to accomplish and fulfill all that lies in His promised will. Our confidence is founded in this knowledge.
Ephesians 1:7 says, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” This unearned and unmerited favor has no bounds and is unlimited and inexhaustible. The understanding of God’s grace in Christ enables us to trust God in the most difficult situations without hesitation or concern.
When God says “I Will” it is not based on the frailty of man’s ability or decision but rather on the eternal and accomplished work of Christ. His pronouncement of support is never in jeopardy.
2 Timothy 2:13 says, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” As you continue reading in Ephesians 1:11 it makes this important statement concerning God’s will. It says, “In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will.” Just remember this, God’s work was finished at the foundations of the world when the Lamb of God was slain making provision, placement, and prominence for us in His kingdom! There is nothing that can take place that can erase God’s pursuing will for our lives. We are effectively assisted for the purpose of bringing many into the kingdom just before the end.
I will finish by declaring a few verses over you as we conclude this month’s letter.
Isaiah 41:10-13 says, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
11 “Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced;
They shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish. 12 You shall seek them and not find them—Those who contended with you. Those who war against you shall be as nothing,
as a nonexistent thing. 13 For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.”
We are living in the most exciting times and are about to see Jesus face to face. Remember, no weapon that is formed against you can prosper. No matter the decision you may face due to current circumstances it will be made from abundant peace and absolute knowing. So, stand strong, and you will see the salvation of the Lord in the land of the living!
