Once again, the dawn of a new year has lifted the light of new possibilities and vision. I pray that according to Psalms 65:11 your new year is crowned with God’s goodness and His paths for your life drip with abundance. Happy New Year!
What you are about to read is one of the greatest messages that I feel I have ever received from God. There is so much being accomplished from words spoken in years past in current events that signifies the importance of our position and demands the guarding of our beliefs, words, and actions. There is an urgency and required alertness for the body of Christ to know and understand the time and season we are living in. It is a time of acceleration and season of application.
Back in November, I was invited on a trip with a pastor friend of mine to Colorado to pray. During this time of focused prayer, the Lord began to reveal to me the nature of the year 2022. In years past I saw that the Lord gave significant “Names” if you will to each year. What I am seeing since the crossing over into 2020 is that God is keeping words given and simply adding to them for each consecutive year. Instead of a title for the year, there is a phrase, an ongoing thought, that paints the importance of His church assignment and ability. We have without a doubt crossed over the threshold of a new era where end-time events are not just being talked about but are literally being played out right in front of us. This should not be a time of spectating and casual acknowledgment, but with a determined desire, aligning ourselves with God’s plan and will. I most likely will be using the months to come to show all that I believe needs to be made known in this appointed time.
2022 is the year of the new! Revelations 21:5-6 reads, “Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful. And He said to me, ‘It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.’” It is most important to note 1 John 5:4-5 holds the key to overcoming in this time. It reads, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – your faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” Our victory in any opposition or given situation that we may face due to the chaos and unrest being populated by the anti-christ spirit is not through social justice or political correctness and policy but is still by our faith in God. This is so important to understand as to what I believe is coming this year.
22 is double 11, which symbolizes in the Hebrew language disorder and chaos. It can mean a concentration of disorganization. I know we all thought that 2021 was going to be the conclusion of what we cringe even to think about concerning this decade, but 2022 will hold much the same.
I know, “Thanks for the pep talk, Dustin!” Although I believe this to be true, this information does not apply to the Body of Christ but instead gives us insight into the importance of our proximity and focused intimacy with the Father.
John 17:14-18 is for us today, it reads, “I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.” In these verses we see our possession, association, and our assignment. We have been given authority in this world, but we are not a product of this world. This means we are commissioned by God to bring kingdom realities into the present culture. To be those that bring and make change where it is needed; to bring recognition and glory to the Father.
I want to add some words the Lord spoke to me during this time of prayer He said, “There must be a foot-stomping moment that screams ‘That’s enough, no more! You will not pass!’ Holding the line as the Body of Christ moves forward taking ground. There must be the taking of ground in the Spirit. Much about this is seen and accomplished in and by prayer and intercession. Not a dramatic and panicked plea, but in an authoritative and power-filled decree of ‘It shall come to pass.’ There will be fulfillment, and all will be just as it was spoken. Isaiah 46:10-11 We are not moved by the mirage of deception that is trying to pull focus in order to drain us. We are fixed as we look unto Jesus – unmoved, unscathed by the chaos of this world’s failing system. Safety and protection are in Him! Fullness of all that truly satisfies is ours. No worries or complaints we are overjoyed by Him as He embraces us!”
The Lord said, “Here’s what’s coming, aggressive anger, unrest like never before. Turmoil that will try and lie under the false comfort of man’s promises. Do not place trust here. Don’t go by the ‘Look Likes’ but rather place yourself in the steadiness of truth. My word. Find the secret place and abide. This is where My abundant peace is and freedom flows. Many lies and finger- pointing will become even more prevalent. The same attitude that Adam had after Eve’s deception. No responsibility will be taken, only relinquished authority which will open the door to bondage and being taken captive. Stay free, for I the Lord have given you liberty by the anointing of My Spirit to set the captive free.”
In conclusion for this month, I want to leave you with the understanding of what this “New” means and what it holds for 2022.
In Revelation 21:5, “Behold I make all things new.” “New” is seen as a new-kind, uncommon and unheard of. It is not “New” as in time or recent, but “New” as to form, quality, and nature.” The word form deals with shape, image of. The idea is that God’s “New” is a form that only He can shape for the purpose of filling with the Holy Spirit—new wine into new wineskins. (Matthew 9:17) Quality speaks of the result of the Holy Spirit which conditions the human spirit to face opposition without fear, being strong and courageous. Nature is the innate and essential qualities and character that are inborn of a person that through regeneration is patterned after Christ.
Mark 16:17-18 reads, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” According to Acts 2:11 which says, “We hear them speaking in our own tongues the
wonderful works of God.” These “New” languages were not languages that had never existed before, but simply new to the speaker. This was an uncommon event that no one had heard of happening before, completely miraculous in nature! This is the “New” we are declaring over 2022, for it will hold miraculous moments of God’s new! God wants to do something new, uncommon, unheard of in and through you in 2022! The Lord said, “There will be great manifestations of healings, blessings and overflowing of the miraculous and supernatural, not apart from you, but in and through you!”
Isaiah 43:18-19 The Message says, “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. (Don’t get caught up in human opinion and political agenda) Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.” This is our word in season church, don’t get complacent – self-aware or self-satisfied, stagnate or stationary. We must keep our expectation of the miraculous and the open hand of God’s nature in every situation and event.
