I want to encourage you this month because fear is at an all-time high, being used to capture the hearts of individuals and sway them to believe there is no hope for the future; that God’s hand has been removed from America and we are all on a ride to destruction. I want you to know that as the anointed and appointed church of the living God there is still more to come, and God is only getting started! Don’t forget, we have been given victory and will win no matter what.
We are living in a very particular and peculiar time. As we draw close to one of the most important presidential elections of our time, I want you to settle your focus and heart on some truths that will bring absolute peace and strength. You may be asking, “How can you be sure?” I know, because when we allow the truth of God’s word to be the loudest voice in our lives and choose to block out every other distraction, then our minds and our lives capture the freedom promised no matter the situation.
To support this courageous mentality, I will highlight three stories that cover impossible situations in the arenas of the physical, political, and financial. No matter what, we must never stop believing, expecting and resting in the word written and spoken to us.
Physical. Genesis 18:9-15 is the moment that the Lord spoke a word to Abraham and Sarah concerning having a child in the appointed time. When this word was spoken Abraham was 99 and the Bible says that Sarah was past the age of childbearing. When Sarah heard what the Lord spoke, she laughed. I don’t believe in doubt as much as simply knowing the natural and physical truths. In verse 14 the Lord asks a question that is applicable to us all concerning our physical situation that may seem impossible or beyond repair. He asks, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” This question is not just for our observation, but rather, it demands a response that we all must answer.
No matter the illness, the diagnosis, or the words spoken that leave one hopeless and intimidated by fear, I want to say there is nothing too hard for the Lord! Not only is it possible, but it has been made plausible by the satisfying shed blood of Jesus Christ, who demands the rectifying of every wrong. Your body, no matter your age, your family history, or your environment holds no weight to the authority of God’s word. I speak life and healing to your body in Jesus’ name!
Political. Jeremiah 32:1-27 Here you see the Lord telling Jeremiah that Jerusalem will be besieged by Babylon’s army, and they will fight the Chaldeans but will not win. But then the Lord tells Jeremiah that his uncle will come and ask him to buy his field and that Jeremiah is to buy it.
The reason The Lord tells Jeremiah to make this purchase is for a sign, a prophecy that even though there will be a lost battle, it’s not over. In verse 15 Jeremiah says that the Lord has told him that houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land. You could say that there will be a great turnaround despite all the opposition.
In verses 25-27 we read, “And You have said to me, O Lord God, ‘Buy the field for money, and take witnesses! – yet the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.’” Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah saying, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?”’ No matter the election’s outcome, and no matter the person who takes office, what God has spoken to you concerning your livelihood, your business, and your family will stand and will be the force that exalts you despite the enemy’s tactics to dismantle and disarm you. You will stand as a beacon of light causing many to see the love and goodness of the God we serve. God’s not done with America, and I believe that there is a great uprising of righteousness that will take place in the land and will cause many to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus.
Financial. Even if you’re not facing any physical issues or have a real concern for the political temperature of our country this one hits us all.
In Matthew 19 Jesus has a conversation with a young rich man who asked how he could be saved. In short, Jesus hits the heart of the issue and tells the young man in verse 21 to go and sell his possessions and give the money to the poor and come and follow him. In verse 22 it says, “But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.” You could say that the great possessions had him, but this is not what I want you to see. In verses 23-25, Jesus tells his disciples that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven, and the disciple’s reply is quite humorous if you think about it. They asked, “Who then can be saved?” In verse 26 it says, “But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” I like to ask, “Who are you with?” When you place your trust in God and not in uncertain riches God makes sure that the riches are acquired knowing that you will use them for His glory and not selfish means.
When the market and industries predict utter failure and shortage; when prices skyrocket and shelves are bare remember, I’m with God and nothing is too hard or impossible for Him! God is not a man that He should lie or need to repent. If He said it, it will happen. If He spoke it, it will come to pass. Fulfillment is your word. It’s all coming to pass. Breakthrough and overflow are the season we are stepping into despite all opposition, because as He is, so are we in this world! I believe that finances are being placed in the hands of those with a heart to spread the message of Jesus with humility and build the kingdom of God.
