“Are We Having Fun Yet?”

I remember one camping trip my dad took my brother and me on that was a disaster from the start. The gas lantern’s mantle bag broke sending us hunting for a store to replace it, which delayed our arrival at camp to around midnight—and then it began to rain. The whole trip was a fiasco. My dad’s response to such occurrences was always, “Are we having fun yet?” With the economy, wars, rumors of wars and political deceptions, it feels like the right question for the moment. But I want you to be encouraged, and don’t get weary in well-doing, for the promises of God drip with the affirmation of Jesus’ yes and amen!

In Luke 21:26 (NKJV) we find an “Are we having fun yet?” scenario explained with Godly guidance and encouragement. It reads, “…men’s hearts failing them from fear and expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” Then verse 28 continues, “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Remember that you and I are not appointed to wrath, but instead to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, we are to comfort and edify one another with these words. (1 Thess. 5:9, 11 NKJV)

In 1963 Brother Kenneth E. Hagin prophesied a word that I want to give an excerpt of that I believe falls in line with Luke 21. He spoke, “Before the worst shall come and the day of darkness encompasses, there will be those who shall go and who shall carry the fullness of My truth and the fire! There shall be the realm of healing, the light of the miraculous, and the lighting of the fuse of faith!” I also want to share this word the Lord spoke to me, He said, “For 2022 there is much to be seen and known, so expect the miraculous! For it will occur through divine and supernatural interventions and manifest with such power!” I recite these words because the wrong expectations can be fatal, while divine expectation makes way for the miraculous. We must be those who look up with hope, not look down in despair.

You and I must understand the responsibility we carry for this time, our response to His ability given by the blood of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. There is much to do and accomplish. We must become focused and into position for we march forward to lay hold of inheritance and given promise. When destiny is realized, and purpose given value, our determination will be strengthened to see God’s will completed in the earth.

I believe Isaiah 35:3-6 encourages us to stand strong and expect great things. It reads, “Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, ‘Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you.’ Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.”

Verses 5 and 6 of Isaiah 35 give the outcome of the awaking that we desire. I understand that these verses hold meaning of healing of the eyes, ears, legs, and mouth which I personally know God does as He confirms His word. But I also believe that there is more that God desires we operate in that ushers in times of refreshing and peace enabling God’s people to possess during times of chaos. Let’s look at these four statements from Isaiah 35:3-6 so we can set our faith for a move of God like never before!

“Eyes of the blind shall be opened

Supernatural Revelations. You and I are not in darkness that anything should take us by surprise, God wants you to know His most kept secrets. Proverbs 29:18 (MSG) says, “If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; but when they attend to what He reveals, they are most blessed.” Also, Ephesians 1:17 (AMPC) states, “[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him.”

“The ears of the deaf shall be unstopped”

Spiritual Understanding. Understanding is to your spirit what explanation is to your intellect. Understanding deals with your heart and receiving truth, for we understand by faith (Hebrews 11:3). Ephesians 1:18 (AMPC) says, “By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you know and understand the hope to which He called you…” Psalms 119:130 (NKJV) reads, “The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” When God’s word is understood, received by faith, the problems of life, no matter how difficult, become simple!

“The lame shall leap”

Miraculous Manifestations. An individual that receives the fullness of Christ and walks in Him by faith according to grace will operate on a level that is unstoppable. John 6:28-29 (NKJV) reads, “Then they said to Him, ‘What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?’ Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.’” The miracles that we are looking for come out of a believing heart and a trusting relationship with a loving Father. Remember, all things are possible to them that believe.

“The tongue of the dumb sing

Divine Utterance. Isaiah 50:4 (MSG) reads, “The Master, God, has given me a well-taught tongue, so I know how to encourage tired people.” There is abundant power when we allow God to place His words in our mouth and then choose to speak those words in and over our lives as well as the lives of our friends and family, creating strength and breeding courage. Psalms 119:13 (MSG) “I’ll transfer to my lips all the counsel that comes from Your mouth.” When God quickens your tongue, then edification, exhortation, and comfort are the outcome.
