“The God Element”

Everybody loves something for free, am I right? Buy one get one free! Buy a drink and get a hotdog for free! Yet as the adage reminds us, “Nothing in life is free” including freedom…Happy Independence Day by the way and thank you to all those who serve and have sacrificed their lives for us all to enjoy such liberty. As you mature you become more skeptical of such claims. There always seems to be a catch or marketing ploy intended to make you feel good about your free item and blind you to the hidden costs that ultimately cover the free item. This skepticism can also hinder you from seeing what God has truly given free and without a hidden agenda for all who ask and receive.

Before we look at this free item that will increase your living level, I want to highlight the last few months as we have been creating a revival of the Bible, God’s word in our lives. In April, we covered, it will be “Just As” it was told me seeing that God’s word does not return void but instead reacts as we speak what we have heard from God. In May we saw that God’s word is “The Great Equalizer” bringing every situation to the full potential of God’s design, regardless of the environment or resource availability. Last month, we highlighted that life demands a response and if we simply acquire God’s words, we will see God-size results and outcomes with joy in the most impossible situations. I want to continue in line with these thoughts and look at the original idea that the Lord began to speak to me about the importance of His word in our mouths and lives.

Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom.” Okay, but at what cost? Nothing in life is free, right? When man fell in the garden and committed the sin of treason against God, he fell from his God design and level at which he was created to function. Yet because of the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the demand for justice was satisfied, and Jesus became for us wisdom from God, 1 Corinthians 1:30. So, now the skillful training, knowledge, and experience needed to accomplish something well is truly given freely through the selfless act of Christ.

Not to complicate the topic, but I don’t believe that wisdom is only the ability to answer the question, “What should I do in this moment?” although obviously it encompasses this. I want us to see wisdom as more of a necessity to life. It should not be an afterthought or “some have it and some don’t” perspective, but rather the God element that enables us to accomplish the God given vision for our lives producing the quality of life supplied by Jesus. Simply, God’s wisdom makes life better, and easier and most importantly it’s free!

Proverbs 2:6 says, “For the Lord gives wisdom;”

James 1:5, a verse quoted and prayed often says, “If any of you (anyone) lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Colossians 1:22 tells us we are above reproach. God is a liberal and open-handed giver without finding fault. He has no conditions with His giving other than revealing the dangers of asking from a position of being double minded rather than simply believing Him.

Consider this, Solomon, in 2 Chronicles 1:6-12 when given the ability to ask anything from God did not ask for himself but for others, he asked for wisdom to lead God’s people well. Because he asked this, God granted him all that life desires most. If we will change our perspective from working to meet our desires, to seeking the ability to impact and do more for others, everything we long for or crave will be added, Matthew 6:33. I don’t have a ministry to get for me and mine, but rather because I believe the word God has placed in my heart truly can liberate others and reinforce God’s will in their lives, I work relentlessly and with focus, knowing everything else will simply be added to me.

I have been meditating on these verses and have been wanting to show it to you the last few months. Proverbs 24:3-4 says, “Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge (revelation) the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” Hear this, the life that you have been seeking and longing for is not acquired but received, it’s freely given! Remember from Proverbs 2:6, God gives wisdom and from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. Hebrews 3:6, “But Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are…” Yes, you could use these verses to believe God for a physical home, but I want to see it from the outlook of what God’s word, God’s wisdom will produce in you for from such the forces of life proceed.

I’ll end with Proverbs 3:21-26 (TPT) which says, “My child, never drift off course from these two goals for your life: to walk in wisdom and to discover your purpose. Don’t ever forget how they empower you. For they strengthen you inside and out and inspire you to do what’s right; you will be energized and refreshed by the healing they bring. They give you living hope to guide you, and not one of life’s tests will cause you to stumble. You will sleep like a baby, safe and sound – your rest will be sweet and secure. You will not be subject to terror, for it will not terrify you. Nor will the disrespectful be able to push you aside, because God is your confidence in times of crisis, keeping your heart at rest in every situation.” I know, I should’ve just highlighted the whole verse, but if you focus on the emphasized statements, it will set you on fire! Strength, energized, refreshed, and healed. Give you living hope, stability in trials, and sweet sleep. No terror in crisis, only peace. I don’t know about you, but I could use some of that!

Our lives, no matter what should always reveal and demonstrate the victory and triumph that is provided freely for us. I want you to know I am praying for you and over you as I know that God who started a good work in you will complete it to the end!
